Unlock your imagination and use an archival photograph as a starting point to inspire your writing.
We are looking for writers of:
Short Stories – 500 words maximum
Poems – 40 lines maximum
Successful pieces are to be included in a volume of Community Creative Writing, with the work of North Pens writers, school children and author David Napthine.
Please submit finished pieces of writing to ruth.chittenden@thestorydurham.org by Friday 18 July 2025.
