Annabel Renwick was born at Brancepeth, went to the Durham Johnston School and is now living and working in our sister city, Durham, North Carolina.
A chance reading of an article in the Quarterly Cross (a Neville’s Cross newsletter) in 2015, resulted in Annabel going down several rabbit holes to discover the connection between the Neville family and Durham North Carolina.
‘The Bulls head symbol of the Neville’s became a royal symbol of the Plantagenet Kings and was later adopted as a trademark from which Durham, North Carolina gained its nickname Bull City.’
