We are free to visit and open to everyone, providing a warm welcome to visitors of all ages, including children and family groups.
Every Thursday take your little one on an adventure through the history of County Durham! Each half-term we will focus on a different section of The Story’s collections and exhibition. Join us in our Learning Studio at The Story as you journey through time and discover a new theme every week with your little one. Handle historical objects, hear stories, learn and play together at Small Stories.
This half term join us for imaginative play, crafts and music, as we discover how Durham’s links across the world have shaped both Durham and it’s people. Explore our ‘Making Connections’ section of the permanent exhibition, learning about Durham’s influence far beyond our shores. All sessions require booking.
Please note: we have introduced an extra session to Small Stories. The two sessions are now: Mixed age Group (Under 5s) 10:00 – 11:00 and Pre-walkers (Under 5s) 11:15 – 12:15. Tickets are priced at £2 per family (max 2 children per family).
