After exploring the collections at The Story, our members were captivated by the objects and documents connected to the Durham Light Infantry and our recent exhibition, ‘A Debt Beyond Words’ which looks closely at the impact of war on communities in Durham, with a focus on the home front. Inspired by the stories of the many people who supported the armed forces behind the scenes, they have created a diverse and thoughtful collection of original artworks.
About Interface Arts
Interface Arts aims to promote wider exposure to, and participation in the arts in County Durham and its surrounding area using the skills of the membership to facilitate arts, crafts and performance activities.
We regularly exhibit our work, bringing together all forms of art including fine art, painting, drawing, textiles, ceramics and glass. Our most recent exhibition ‘Chroma’ at the Arts Centre Washington demonstrated a huge breadth of interpretations of the subject.
