Our next Ceremony Rooms open evening will be on Thursday 6 November 2025 – the rooms will be open for viewings between 17:00 and 18:30 – no bookings are required – take the chance to explore our romantic settings for weddings, ceremonies and the renewing of vows.
Located on the outskirts of Durham City, The Story combines Georgian grandeur with state-of-the-art modern facilities. Ceremonies are conducted in the recently restored Grade II listed manor house. There are three ceremony rooms on the ground floor, which are easily accessible. You can also choose to have your ceremony on the Grand Staircase. All of our locations provide a romantic setting for weddings, ceremonies and renewing of vows.
