1914-15 Star

A four-pointed star with crossed swords and a wreath of oak leaves. A banner in centre is inscribed ‘1914-15’. Star is topped by a crown and suspension ring. The centre is inscribed on flat reverse: ‘CAPT. F. A. L. GIBBON. DURH. L.I.’ (Impressed capitals). Ribbon is watered silk in equal blurred stripes of red, white and blue.
