A circular medal, obverse shows left-facing bust of Queen Victoria. Reverse shows Britannia, holding flag and laurel crown, soldiers, and ships and has inscription: ‘SOUTH AFRICA’ around top. Edge is inscribed: ‘1319 SGT G. PERRY. DURHAM LT (INFY)’ (Impressed capitals). Has 3 medal clasps: ‘SOUTH AFRICA 1901’, ‘ORANGE FREE STATE’ and ‘CAPE COLONY’. Ribbon has red edges with two blue stripes and a broad central orange stripe. Associated person: Perry, George (service number: 1319)
