(before marriage called Jane Liddell, a niece and devisee of John Johnson of Escomb, dec’d.) (2) George Dent of Killerby, yeoman, son and executor of the will of Robert Dent, dec’d. (3) Elizabeth Liddell of Escomb, widow of William Liddell, dec’d., and sister and devisee of John Johnson, dec’d. (4) Amorous Mossum, porter to the Bishop of Durham at Auckland Castle Mortgage for £400 and interest, by (1) and (2) to (4), of copyhold lands in Escomb, in the manor of Bondgate in Auckland, as described in D/X 994/27, except 2.5a. in the West Haugh boundaries specified which were purchased from (1), (2) and (3) by Thomas Greenwell of Sherburn; subject to the payment of £5 p.a. to (3) for life; and the reconveyance by (2) to (3) of a freehold messuage, stable and 6a. of land in Escomb for life
