Deeds, leases, assignments and mortgages relating to shares in the coal mines in the lordships of Ryton and Kyo Field especially the Stella Grand Lease Colliery in which the Vanes were partners. The property was first purchased in 1652 and subsequently held under lease from the Bishop of Durham. The shares were sold in 1793. Includes: 129 Bargain and Sale.
