2 May 1765 (1) Thomas Partis of Whitehaven, Cumberland, gent., nephew and heir of Fletcher Partis of Newcastle upon Tyne, merchant, Esq., deceased (2) George Thompson of Sunderland, gent. Lease and release (lease missing) by (1) to (2) of all lands of Thomas Smith of Morton House, deceased, in Mill Houses, Great Lumley, Wolsingham, Stanhope, Chester-le-Street, Houghton-le-Spring, Bishopwearmouth and Sunderland, according to trusts contained in will of Meaborne Smith. Recites: 1 April 1731 lease and release by Thomas Smith of Morton House, Esq., to Fletcher Partis and William Watson, Houghton-le-Spring, gent., of lands in trust for Meaborne Smith of Morton House. Will (29 October 1761) of Meaborne Smith devising his land to (2) and Robert Hulton, Esq., who has died leaving (2) entitled to land subject to trusts.
