D 36 Latin. 2 June 1208. Anno Domini millesimo ccc octavo ad festum Pentecostes. Covenant whereby Emery de Kellaw grants ad firmam to John de Alayncheyles his part in the mill of Slaueley, with suit. To have to John and heirs, as freely etc., as William de Kellaw had, for 10 years; paying yearly 25s. John shall maintain the mill at his own expense, and hand it over at the end of the term in as good condition as he found it. If John fail in payment at any term, Emery may distrain and re-enter. Sureties: Dominum Thomam de Witewortha militem, et Willelmum de Auforth. Witnesses: Domino Philippo de la Ley, Domino Waltero de Wessington, Johanne de Brettelay, Willelmo de Farnakirs.
