Thomas F. McQueen was agent for all the English estates from 1929 to 1937. He was working for the Earl of Strathmore as early as 1889 as clerk at the estate office. Also agent for the Durham estates of the Crichton-Stuart family (the Marquises of Bute) and Norman Field’s Lartington estate. Herbert Bradley was chief clerk at the Strathmore estates office, Barnard Castle, from July 1934 to 1939. He was working for the Earl of Strathmore as early as 1903. Address: ‘The Nook’, Staindrop.
