Records deposited on long term loan, 20 March 1992 (Acc: 2051 (D)) Henry Francis Widdrington, 5th Lord Widdrington (self-styled), was the son of William, 4th Lord Widdrington, who took part in the Jacobite rebellion in 1715 and was attainted of high treason; although pardoned in 1717 William forfeited the title. Henry died without issue in 1774 and his estates in Stella and Stanley (derived from the Tempest family) passed to his nephew, Thomas Eyre of Glossop, Derbyshire.
