Card containing images of a Cambridge boat crew, n.d. 1900-1910 As follows: Photograph of eleven young men standing and sitting in a group, with a wooden staircase leading up behind them, on the outside of a boathouse, and with the open door of the boathouse also behind them; ten of the young men are wearing light-coloured blazers, shorts and striped socks; two of the young men have the coat of arms of King’s College, Cambridge on the breast pocket of their blazers; one young man, sitting in the middle of the group, is wearing a dark suit with a shirt with a stiff collar, n.d. 1900 – 1910; Photograph of a rowing skiff on the river Cam, with eight oarsmen and a cox; behind them four men wearing caps and blazers and two men wearing dark suits are standing on the towpath near a tree; behind them, in turn, are lawns and the façade of the boathouse; taken by Stearn & Sons, Cambridge, n.d. 1900 – 1910; The card bears the coat of arms of King’s College, Cambridge, with the words King’s Kent Boat above it; between the photographs are the words ‘Bumped Sidney Caius’; below the photograph are the names of the oarsmen of the King’s boat: Capt.: T.W.
