Students use interactive storytelling to learn about the life and work of County Durham artist Tom Lamb. We use archives and local studies to explore comparisons and differences between his life and theirs, and how history is recorded in County Durham locality using art, archives and artefacts. Through this, your pupils will have a broad appreciation of how life in Durham has changed, Tom Lamb as a significant person, and why he is important in the story of the county.

This workshop includes object handling, investigation in pairs, movement/mime, sketching and creating a large art piece as a class.
