A five pointed star medal, obverse shows sphinx head with pyramids behind within circular band inscription: ‘EGYPT 1884-86’ around top and Arabic inscription below. Reverse shows crown with cypher of the Khedive below. Suspended from a star and crescent mounted on a clasp. Ribbon is plain blue. The medal is unnamed. Originally awarded to Private Charles Baker, 338, 2nd Battalion, Durham Light Infantry. Associated person: Baker, Charles (service number: 338)
