15 January 1754, copy made 6 September 1757 (1) Judith Routh of City of Durham, widow, relict and executrix of Cuthbert Routh, late of Dinsdale, esquire, deceased for and on behalf of herself and Dorothy Routh, spinster, youngest daughter of said Cuthbert Routh, an infant under the age of 21 years (2) George Baker of Elemore Hall, esquire and Judith his wife, James Bland of Hurworth, esquire and Elizabeth his wife, Jane Routh of City of Durham, spinster Articles of Agreement stating that: (a) Judith Routh will come to a fair account of the personal estate of Cuthbert Routh (b) that £600 shall be borrowed upon joint securities of (1) and (2) and given to Judith Routh in full satisfaction of all annual or other sums she is entitled to by her marriage articles for the maintenance of Dorothy and Jane until Martinmas 1753 or sale of the estate (c) after the sale of the estate the several annual sums to be raised in specified order (d) every person who shall be entitled to a fourth part of such overplus shall pay to Judith Routh £50 ever year at Mayday and Martinmas for the rest of her natural life in order to secure money owed as mortgage and arrears of interest to David Burton, gentleman, and further sums of money to Christopher Wainson, esquire, amounting to £7,752 10s – From:Nether Dinsdale
