Abrantes …

Abrantes, 27 June 1809 Broke camp today to march to Zarza la Major. Cuesta is following the French alone, natural enough in view of the long delay at Abrantes. Wellesley not satisfied with Howarth, who has the artillery, but the wait has given them all the spleen. – From: Londonderry Estates – Additional Records Acc: 1193(D),Despatches from Charles William Stewart (1778-1854), Lord Stewart to Robert Stewart (1769-1822), Viscount Castlereagh, from the Peninsula, volume 2
