19 August 1856 (1) Sir Frederick Hutchison Hervey Bathurst (2) John Maude Ogden Lease by (1) to (2) of coals etc. under Hamsteels Moor (1534a. 3r. 3p.) in the parish of Lanchester, with all necessary powers for the working of such coals for a term of 16 years from 1 November 1854. Plan endorsed on second membrane Rent: £300 for the first year, £350 for the second, £450 for the third, £600 for the fourth, £800 for the fifth, £900 for the sixth and thereafter £1000 p.a. after the rate of 20s. per ten of coal etc. Endorsed on third membrane: 26 August 1858 (1) John Maude Ogden (2) Sir Frederick Hutchison Hervey Bathurst Surrender by (1) to (2) of the above lease – From:Lanchester Coal Royalty
